The Story of Young Kobras - A Gluten-Free Bakery in San Francisco

Young Kobras was founded by Geoff, a San Franciscan vegan baker. While working at a cafe that specializes in healthy and allergen friendly food, he was continually disappointed by the gluten-free items. Every ingredient label listed gums, starches, and refined flours – nothing with any health value.

He knew there had to be a better option. Working with only simple, whole ingredients (like his mom, a dietician, taught him) Geoff spent over a year experimenting and perfecting a delicious gluten-free sourdough bread. And so Young Kobras was born: serving up fresh, nutritious, gluten-free bread like you’ve never tasted before.

Geoff can commonly be heard unironically muttering, "All my friends are bread." He selflessly breathes Young Kobras day in and day out so that all people with all kinds of needs can enjoy bread AND feel good.
